Art is my passion! I am a strong believer in the power of art. Art has the ability to tear down the walls of indifference and penetrate directly into our soul and heart. It touches our emotions and our spirit.
Art is educational. It integrates knowledge and cultural principles. It promotes the development of artistic appreciation, personal enrichment, social awareness and consciousness. Art is therapeutic, and also brings pleasure.
And above all, art is spiritual. It cultivates and deepens our sensibility and develops our potential as creative human beings.
WORLD AIDS DAY MEMORIAL PROJECT
Each year, from 2001 to 2004, a 24 Hours Vigil at People's Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York took place. Public Art Installation Concept and Design by Alma Villegas.
